National committee

Our national committee is our board, also known as the Central Committee. Our members elect it at the National Biennial General Meeting, held every two years, and it is accountable to them.

It coordinates the work of our branches, has the final say on policy, discipline and direction, and represents the Karen community to government and partner organisations.

Each of our branches has its own Management Committee to run its affairs, with Youth Affairs and Women's Affairs departments, and forms sub-committees as its work requires.

Our President leads the committee, our officers support its administration, and our coordinators oversee youth and women's affairs across the country.
