AKO NSW Branch holds its Annual General Meeting and elects a new team

The AKO NSW Branch held its Annual General Meeting on Saturday 22 August 2026 at the STARTTS meeting room on The Horsley Drive, Carramar. Nineteen members attended the meeting, which included the election of the branch's new representatives.
The meeting ran from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm. Departments presented their reports and updates, and members considered, seconded and approved the motions put to them. The election was then held by secret ballot.
After the election, Chairperson Saw Tamla Gaw, who was re-elected, and the newly elected team took an oath of office while holding the Karen national flag.
The meeting marks the start of a new term for the NSW Branch, as the new team takes on its responsibilities and continues the branch's work in the community.
