13th National Biennial General Meeting and Central Committee elections

The Australian Karen Organisation Inc (AKO) has successfully concluded its 13th National Biennial General Meeting and Central Committee elections, held from 3–5 October 2026. The event marked a significant milestone for the organization, resulting in the unanimous election of its new AKO Central Committee and incoming office bearers. Unanimous Leadership Election: A newly formed Central Committee was established to guide the organization's policies, discipline, and community direction. The organization extended deep appreciation to outgoing committee members for their dedication and valuable service to the Karen community in Australia. The freshly elected team re-committed to fostering a stronger, united, and thriving environment for the Australian Karen population.
