The Women’s Health and Wellbeing Program aims to promote and support the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of women in the community. The program encourages women to adopt healthy lifestyles, participate in physical activities, improve their health awareness, and build positive social connections.
Through activities such as Zumba, group exercise, health education, social gatherings, and wellbeing workshops, the program provides opportunities for women to stay active, share experiences, develop friendships, and support one another in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
The program also aims to empower women by encouraging confidence, self-care, mutual respect, and active participation in community life. It recognises the importance of women’s wellbeing in strengthening families, building supportive relationships, and creating a healthier and more connected community.
Through this program, AKO-QLD seeks to improve women’s overall quality of life, reduce social isolation, strengthen community connections, and encourage women to take an active role in their own wellbeing and the long-term development of the community.
