Multicultural Race Day, Werribee, Victoria

On 8 April 2017, the Australian Karen Organisation's Victorian branch was invited to perform a traditional Karen dance at the Multicultural Race Day at Werribee Racecourse. Wyndham City Council invites the branch each year to present Karen culture alongside the many other cultures of the region.

Members of the Karen community enjoyed seeing the diversity of cultures in Melbourne, and shared the Karen dance with an appreciative audience. The branch is always glad to perform Karen dance at community events and to share Karen traditions with the wider community.
